Join us – New Peer Reviewer Vacancies Now Open

Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) is inviting healthcare professionals from across Wales to apply for a range of Peer Reviewer roles to support our inspection and review work.

We're Recruiting Peer Reviewers

Peer Reviewers play an important part in helping us provide independent assurance about the quality, safety, and effectiveness of healthcare services. They bring specialist knowledge and real‑world experience to our inspection teams, helping us highlight good practice, identify where improvements are needed, and support better outcomes for patients.

What is a Peer Reviewer?

Peer Reviewers are practising healthcare professionals who join our inspection and review activity on a flexible basis. They contribute expert insight as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, either in person or remotely, depending on the nature of the work. Their involvement ensures that our findings are informed by current clinical practice and aligned with national standards.

We provide all Peer Reviewers with a comprehensive induction and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
