Quality Insight bulletin – COVID-19
Our Quality Insight Bulletin, a new product for Healthcare Inspectorate Wales, draws together the positive themes, good practice and emerging risks we’ve found from our Quality Checks and other work during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we’ve adapted our approach to assurance and inspection at a time when on-site inspection visits have been far more challenging for both healthcare settings and ourselves. We developed and started a programme of remote Quality Checks to supplement our traditional inspection work.
We developed the Quality Insight Bulletin to communicate the findings of our work as quickly as possible to support improvement, so that our findings can be considered by healthcare settings in their ongoing management and response to the pandemic.
We’ve distributed it via e-mail across NHS and independent healthcare services in Wales, and it’s also available on our website.
